A landmark BBC documentary by Million Media, Composer James Gray Produced/Directed by Lionel Mill Edited by Mick Johnson:

Score Description: For the score I wanted to achieve Contrast & Harmony The earthiness of Bedouin rhythms juxtaposed with the soaring, structured harmonies of Western strings creates a dialogue—between past and present, nomadic life and global modernity. Emotional Texture Desert laments, Prayer accompanied by string harmonies tugs at heartstrings; joyous tribal celebrations gain an added layer of sophistication with additional musical colour. The music accentuates narrative arcs—introducing characters, underlining cultural observations, and guiding the viewer through shifts in mood and atmosphere. Through this fusion, Inside the Saudi Kingdom presents a musical metaphor for Saudi Arabia’s own journey: balancing rapid modernization with deep respect for heritage.

Theo’s Adventure Capitalists - 3×1 hr BBC Documentary series from Tiger Aspect:

Music Description

By treating music not as generic background but as culturally responsive storytelling, I worked to give Theo’s Adventure Capitalists a soul—matching ambition with atmosphere, and commerce with culture. The score didn’t just support the narrative; it gave each episode a distinctive voice—one that spoke authentically to each culture in rhythm, colour, and emotion.
